CRÉ, an Irish Gaelic word meaning earthen or made of clay. This exhibition presents work by the 10 new graduates of the internationally renowned DCCoI’s Ceramics Skills & Design Course in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.

This exhibition showcases the innovation and diversity in ceramic design and technique of some of Ireland's newest makers establishing their identity in the contemporary ceramic market. CRÉ represents the culmination of two years intensive training in all aspects of ceramics skills and design. Visitors can view and purchase a wide variety of hand-crafted ceramic work ranging from tableware to sculpture to musical instruments.

Curated by Gus Mabelson

CRÉ will be offically launched by Dr. Audrey Whitty, Keeper of the Art and Industrial Division, National Museum of Ireland on Friday 15 July at 6.30pm.
