NDCG Open Call for Exhibition Proposals 2021-23 EXTENDED DEADLINE

National Design & Craft Gallery invite innovative, ambitious and engaging exhibition proposals from professional curators, practitioners, galleries, partners and museums. In 2021 Design & Crafts Council Ireland will mark its’ 50th Anniversary, we particularly invite exhibition proposals which celebrate this milestone and look forward to the future of craft and design practice.

Generation Launch // Postponed

We regret that the Generation exhibition launch scheduled for Thursday 12 March has been postponed. Due to concerns over the Covid-19 virus, Jean Blanchaert, who was due to open the exhibition, will no longer travel to Ireland and we have come to the difficult decision that it would be prudent not to proceed in hosting a large public gathering at this time.

Bursaries & Beyond Seminar

Design & Crafts Council Ireland are pleased to host the seminar Bursaries & Beyond seminar at the Parade Tower, Kilkenny Castle on 28 February 2020, programmed in response to the National Design & Craft Gallery’s current exhibition ‘Surface Matters’.

The seminar will explain the fundamentals of applying for bursaries and the benefits that they bring, and is suitable for emerging and established makers, as well as students of craft and design.
