Due to concerns over the Covid-19 virus, Jean Blanchaert, who was due to open the exhibition, will no longer travel to Ireland and we have come to the difficult decision that it would be prudent not to proceed in hosting a large public gathering at this time.

Design & Crafts Council Ireland are pleased to host the seminar Bursaries & Beyond seminar at the Parade Tower, Kilkenny Castle on 28 February 2020, programmed in response to the National Design & Craft Gallery’s current exhibition ‘Surface Matters’.
The seminar will explain the fundamentals of applying for bursaries and the benefits that they bring, and is suitable for emerging and established makers, as well as students of craft and design.
