Jane Jermyn in conversation with Ann Mulrooney

Lismore Castle Arts is delighted to present a conversation between Lismore-based, celebrated ceramicist Jane Jermyn, and curator of the National Craft Gallery, Ann Mulrooney.

First Tuesday event

Tuesday 7 February 2012 at 7pm

Join us at the Pugin Hall in Lismore Castle where Jane and Ann will explore in detail the work of this highly regarded maker.

Aidan Dunne has described Jane’s work as ‘beautifully judged organic forms...  They resemble, without illustrating, various plant shapes and textures, though they are related to non-organic processes that generate the intricate patterns of the natural world.  There is something elemental and fundamental about her pieces, though, a feeling of rightness and inevitability.  She is exceptionally attentive to nuances of tone, colour and texture as well as shape, and seems to have an unerring instinct for sculptural form’.

Tickets cost €10 (€5 concessions and for members of the Friends Scheme)
