Nicholas Mosse will join us at National Craft Gallery to talk about his experiences in setting up and running one of the most well-known, successful craft enterprises in Ireland. This will be an informal conversation over a glass of wine in the National Craft Gallery, Kilkenny.
Nicholas Mosse Pottery was established in 1976 after periods of training in England and Japan. His mission was to produce beautiful, functional pottery in the style of Irish Spongeware, the traditional pottery of Ireland used in the 18th Century. This was made in simple shapes with a decoration applied with a cut sponge.
