Generation Seminar: Familial Legacies
As part of DCCI's Get Ireland Making programme, National Design & Craft Gallery host a two part seminar on Wednesday 20 May, chaired by curators Frances Mc Donald and Muireann Charleton. It will include thematic panel discussions with ‘Generation’ exhibition makers on topics of Reinventing Tradition and Culture of Making. CULTURE NIGHT: Festival of Creative Making
Join us for a craft Festival of Creative Making on Culture Night! Children and young people will have the chance to roll up their sleeves and explore their creativity through an inventive use of materials, technology and craft techniques, and adults can enjoy some light refreshments and entertainment. We will provide picnic blanket, cushions and music. Participate in our free drop-in workshops (suitable for all ages), engage with our interactive zone activities and Irish speaking gallery tours. Workshops and activities include tote bag printing, developing skills to make motorized moving structures and Pom-pom Jewellery.
